David L. Puga’s Music Demo Reels!

Ascend Beyond the Stars was originally created for a Actual Play podcast. Either a spacey ambient track or a chill lofi vibe was requested, so I said “por que no los dos,” and made this cool jingle!

The Tunnels Below was part of a personal project. The goal of the project was to create a dark fantasy soundtrack that was dark, and fantastical. This track would, in theory, be used to set the mood for a spooky, dark cave adventure. I did it because I’d yet to be hired to do a dark fantasy thing… so, if you got one of those hit me up?

Originally composed for a now shuttered local news and culture podcast. I was asked to make an intro motif that sounded professional and newsie. i think it came out pretty alright!

This is the Title theme for a still in development game, that I’m developing, so here’s a teaser, I guess? I think it does a good job of showing the range of styles and sounds I’m able to hit.

This Reprise of “Happy Once” was made as a credits theme for a short film. The vibe was a nice, intimate emotional piece. The film was heavily inspired by classic children’s shows, so I used toy pianos and xylophones to glue it all together.

Made for the Dungeons and Degrees podcast. The vibe task here was to make something that sounded regal, while not taking itself too seriously. Oh, and sound like it wouldn’t be out of place in a High Fantasy world!

Made for a now defunct web series (crazy how often that happens), this was the ending theme for a what was to be a spooky slice of life show about a group of people who enjoy Halloween vibes year-round!

Created as the backing of online advertisement for an interactive art installation (think Meow Wolf). I went for a theremin led, gonzo soundscape for this. Wanted to emphasize the weirdness and creativity that was part of the brief.

After watching the original Joker movie, I was really impressed with the score and wanted to see if I could do a more heroic, but still moody hero theme within it. This was the result!
